Hi, I’m Caren - a counselor, educator, and new homeschooling mom of two beautiful, energetic boys. With over 18 years of experience in education and counseling, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children and families through both joyful milestones and tough seasons.
I’m a certified school counselor, a registered mental health counseling intern in Florida, and a certified (former) science teacher with a heart for emotional growth and resilience. I created Brave & Bright so I could support families in a more personalized, flexible way - especially those navigating homeschool, transitions, or emotional challenges.
After stepping away from the traditional school system to be home with and homeschool my boys, I felt called to continue serving families through virtual counseling and soon-to-launch local homeschool enrichment classes. Whether it’s helping a child manage big emotions, guiding a teen through self-discovery, or supporting a family’s unique journey, I am here to walk alongside you with encouragement and care.
